The Tongxin Great Mosque ( Chinese  同心 清真 大寺 , Pinyin Tóngxīn qīngzhēn dàsì , English Tongxin mosque ) is a mosque in Tongxin County ( 同心 县 ) in the prefecture -level city of Wuzhong in the Ningxia Autonomous Region of the Hui Nationality , China . It was built in the late Ming Dynasty and renovated twice in the Qing period. It is the oldest and largest mosque in Ningxia. Their architectural style is more reminiscent of a Buddhist temple. The site has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China in Ningxia (3-136) since 1988 .

In 1936, the first short-lived revolutionary regime of the Hui Chinese , the Hui Autonomous Government of the Yuhai County ( 豫 海 县 回民 自治 政府 , Yuhai xian Huimin zizhi zhengfu , English Yuwang Hui Autonomous Government ) of the territories was established in this place Shaan (Shaanxi), Gan (Gansu) and Ning (Ningxia) provinces established.
