Big Bear (Heraldry)

Big Bear , also Big Dipper , is a constellation of the northern sky and a common figure in heraldry and thus a heraldic figure .

A figure is shown predominantly in silver or gold made up of seven stars , which are arranged approximately according to the reality in the coat of arms . In J. Siebmacher's large and general book of arms, the constellation is in the shield and in the upper arms of the Hanoverian von Bar family.
