The Große Halken 6 is a listed residential building in Aschersleben in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located in the southern part of the city center of Aschersleber, south of the Sankt-Stephani-Kirche , on the east side of the narrow street Großer Halken, which is designated as a monument area .

History and architecture

The two-storey house was built before 1800. The ground floor was built as a massive construction and has a flat mezzanine floor no more than 70 centimeters high . Originally there was a bedroom there that could only be entered while kneeling. The upper floor of the plastered building is built in half-timbered construction and protrudes over the basement. It is supported by profiled consoles.

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 80463 .
