A Large Kangaroo (Engl. Great Kangaroo ) comes in the myths of the Dreamtime of the Aborigines before in Australia. It's a creation story myth .

When the "Great Flood" came, the great kangaroo according to R. Lewis made sure that the "animal people" (the animal people) held back the water. After the great kangaroo achieved this, it spat out all the words that humans on earth should speak. The great kangaroo thus became the creator of all tones, sounds and languages.

Parallels to the mythology of flood legends of other cultures , the most famous of which are Noah's Ark and the Epic of Gilgamesh , are recognizable.
