The Great tibetologische dictionary of Dungkar ( Tib. Dung dkar tshig mdzod chen mo ) is one of the most important modern reference works on Tibetan language and culture.

The Tibetan-Tibetan dictionary, which like the Great Tibetan-Chinese Dictionary ( bod rgya tshig mdzod chen mo ) has been expanded to include an encyclopedia , was written by Dungkar Lobsang Thrinle ( dung dkar blo bzang 'phrin las ), one of the Gelug schools of Tibetan Buddhism entstamme ends Tibetan scholars. It is considered one of the best modern works of its kind and is one of the most important tools in Tibetology .

The words are arranged in order of arrangement in Tibetan dictionaries, the dictionary contains more than 14,000 entries with annotations of 2,800,000 words covering a wide range of basic Tibetan knowledge: philosophy, literature, art, culture, religion and sciences, such as Tibetan history, relations between Tibet and inland China, Buddhist philosophy, official documents and records, local laws and regulations, ancient temples and famous monasteries, folk customs, Tibetan medicine and pharmacy.
