Great stone graves near Mosigkau

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The megalithic tombs at Mosigkau were two Neolithic megalithic grave sites at Mosigkau , a district of Dessau in Saxony-Anhalt . The graves were probably completely destroyed in the second half of the 19th century. They were in the Mosigkauer Heide , but their exact location is unknown. The two plants were designed by Christian Keferstein1846 only vaguely referred to as “stone altars”; So it was obviously a stone burial chamber that had no mound (any more). An exact determination of the grave type is not possible on the basis of this description, nor is it possible to make a cultural assignment, since no finds from the graves are known.
