The Altranft large stone grave was a megalithic burial complex from the Neolithic Age near Altranft , a district of Bad Freienwalde (Oder) in the Märkisch-Oderland district ( Brandenburg ). It was discovered while plowing in 1935 and destroyed in the process.

location

The grave was on the road between Altranft and the Bergthal Vorwerk, near the former forester's house. It was between the road and the ditch.

description

The system was not documented in detail during or after it was found. Only two large stones (one square and one with a smooth surface) were dumped on the roadside. The shape, dimensions and type of the burial chamber can therefore no longer be determined. Hans-Jürgen Beier classifies it only generally as a presumed large stone grave , Eberhard Kirsch as a large stone grave or block chamber grave . Due to the lack of finds, the cultural classification is also uncertain.
