Large stone grave Secklendorf

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The large stone grave Secklendorf was a megalithic burial complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Secklendorf , a district of Altenmedingen in the district of Uelzen ( Lower Saxony ). It was destroyed in the 19th century. The grave was north of the place, about halfway to Altenmedingen east of the road; immediately to the north was a burial mound . The large stone grave was documented in the 1840s by Georg Otto Carl von Estorff , but was already destroyed at that time and could therefore not be described in more detail. No information is available on the orientation, dimensions and type of grave. The card signature only shows that it had a rectangular barren bed .
