The large housing estate Waldsassener road (also satellite town is called) is a high-rise settlement in Berlin-Marienfelde . It is mainly developed through the Waldsassener Straße and the Tirschenreuther Ring. The settlement was built between 1970 and 1974. It comprises 4200 apartments. The largest house has 27 floors . The urban planning concept comes from Hans Bandel . The majority of the stock is in the hands of Degewo AG , which spent over 100 million euros on the renovation between 2011 and 2016 . Degewo AG owns almost 3,000 apartments on Waldsassener Strasse.
