The friendship mine is a former iron mine in the Bensberg ore district in Bergisch Gladbach . The site belongs to the Katterbach district . The request for mutation dates from April 26, 1849. On April 30, 1849, a certificate of courage was issued. The award document dates from March 3, 1850 on Brauneisenstein . The friendship mine was in the vicinity of Katterbach. A hiking trail borders the forest behind the Klutstein houses. The treasure trove in an old limestone quarry is located in the hinterland of the Klutstein 20 house in this area. Nothing further is known about the operating activities.
