The Grundarfoss is a waterfall in the west of Iceland .
Grundarfoss is located on the north coast of the Snæfellsnes peninsula and can be seen from Snæfellsnesvegur 
. The Grundará river forms at Hvítihnúkur, falls 70 meters down, flows under a bridge and flows into Grundarfjörður at Grundarkampur . About 1.5 kilometers east of Grundarfjörður , a path branches off to the south, which leads up to 500 meters to the waterfall.
