Basic saw

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A basic saw is a tool that is suitable for cutting off objects made of wood or metal under water, i.e. for removing old pile stumps, for cutting off sheet piling or scaffolding piles in foundation construction .

The basic saw can be constructed as

  1. Frame saw in which the saw blade to a running on rollers gate fixed and is set into reciprocating motion,
  2. Pendulum saw , whereby the frame that supports the saw only pendulates on a frame,
  3. Circular segment saw in which the saw is attached to a vertical axis and is set in a reciprocating motion,
  4. Circular saw that works like normal circular saws.

The basic saw must be guided safely during work and pressed against the object to be processed, whereby it may be necessary to set up the entire tool immovably. A wide adjustability of the basic saw is achieved by special devices such as winches and rollers . The teeth of the basic saw are set.
