Aiming with D-hose and bucket syringe - Germany Cup 2010

The group relay describes a discipline of fire fighting sport . Fire-fighting tasks are overcome for a while.

history

In 1965, for the first time in the GDR, a determination of the best in the group relay discipline was advertised for the central fire protection bodies ( professional fire brigade ). The structure for men was significantly more extensive than the current structure for women. For example, a stepladder had to be built, the bucket syringe had to be carried to the pump port and clothing had to be put on. The initial times were about 4 minutes. In 1974 competitions for the volunteer fire brigades were added. Among other things, the modified form of the group relay for women, which was already very similar to today's structure.

After the fall of the Wall, the group relay was reintroduced in the German championship in fire fighting in 2000 . Since 2005 it has also been part of the team classification of the German Cups.

procedure

Tying a knot at the 2010 German Cup in Stelzendorf

The fire brigade athletes line up at the start line. After the start command, two comrades run to the distribution line and connect the B-hose that has been pulled with the distributor, which is also carried along . A runner runs back and hits the next person, who uses a C-hose to go to the distributor and connect it there. Both companions then run to the jet pipe line and couple to the other end of the C-tube, a lance on. After crawling through a hurdle , the next person is posted on the starting line. This must correctly tie 3 knots ( mast throw , square knot , carpenter's knot ) at a hurdle 50 m away and then return to the starting line. The last two runners make their way to the bucket syringe . While one runner connects the D-hose she has brought with her to the jet pipe and pump, the other runner circles the bucket syringe and knocks the runner off on the jet pipe. This runs to the bucket syringe and operates it. Now the targets (three empty cans) have to be sprayed down with the water from the target devices and the nozzle operator runs towards the target. As soon as the finish line is crossed, the time is stopped.

The current German record is held by the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania team with a time of 82.42 seconds. He was assisted by M. Twieg (B-hose), S. Jakob (distributor), M. Grosche (C-hose), S. Marek (knot), D. Bräuer (bucket syringe) and N. Rambow (syringe) in 2012 of the German Fire Brigade Championship in Cottbus.
