Gudrun Sander

Eva Gudrun Sander-Mühlbachler (born April 18, 1964 in Linz , Austria) is an adjunct professor for business administration with a special focus on diversity management at the University of St. Gallen and an expert in the field of diversity & inclusion.

Life

Gudrun Sander grew up in Austria and studied business administration at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz. In 1989 she moved to Switzerland and worked in various functions at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). In 1997 she did her doctorate at the University of St. Gallen on the subject of “From dominance to partnership. New understandings of equality and management ”, for which she received the recognition award of the Swiss Society for Organization and Management (SGO) .

Her commitment to women in business is not only evident in the choice of her dissertation topic . She initiated the day nursery at the University of St. Gallen with a unique financing model. Later she was the managing director of the women's advancement initiative “Deeds instead of words” and was committed to the implementation of gender equality controlling in companies, public administrations and non-profit organizations. Today she is the manager of the Equal Opportunities Controlling Association.

She also works for women as director for diversity and management programs at the Executive School of the University of St. Gallen (ES-HSG) , where she a. is responsible for the conception and implementation of the “Women Back to Business” program, a management diploma program for women returning to work with an academic degree. She is also the director of the Competence Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI-FIM) at the Research Center for International Management at the University of St. Gallen (FIM-HSG) and, since 2014, has been an adjunct professor for business administration with a special focus on diversity management at the University of St. Gallen .

Gudrun Sander is an independent organizational consultant and has been the owner and CEO of Sander & Sander GmbH since 2011. She works as a lecturer at universities. Since 2011 she has been both an academic expert in the Women's Empowerment Principles Leadership Group (WEPs LG) of UN Women and UN Global Compact and a member of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) Working Group on Gender Equality. She has published books and articles and is a speaker in business, public administration and non-profit organizations.

Gudrun Sander is married to Stefan Sander and has two daughters and a son. She lives in St. Gallen .
