Guess is an American clothing company based in Los Angeles that also sells watches , jewelry , handbags, and perfumes .
The words “Guess?”, English for “guess what?” Are usually found on the brand's products . The lettering and the question mark can appear together or individually in many design variants.
history
The company was founded in 1981 by from Morocco coming Sephardenbrüdern Maurice and Paul Marciano founded and initially had major image problems by the poor working conditions at subcontractors.
In October 1997, Guess was even the target of a video of Rage Against the Machine .
Nevertheless, the company grew steadily, not least through the use of erotic advertising campaigns, etc. a. with Claudia Schiffer . Since 2012 the model Gigi Hadid was the "Face of Guess" .
Their brands Guess, Guess Kids, Baby Guess and Guess by Marciano belong to the upper price range.
