Guillaume Arrufat

Guillaume Arrufat (*? In Cassanet , Gascogne ; † February 24, 1311 in Avignon ), also known as Guillaume Arrufat des Forges, Guillaume d'Arrufat, Guillaume Ruffat des Forges, Guillemus Rufati, Guglielmo Rufati, was a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

As a nephew of Pope Clement V , Guillaume Arrufat was appointed dean of Saint-Seurin in Bordeaux in 1301 and was cardinal deacon with the titular diaconia Santi Cosma e Damiano in Rome from 1305 , but before March 1, 1306 he switched to the titular church as a cardinal priest Santa Pudenziana . He was one of the judges who tried the poverty dispute among the Friars Minorites . From 1308 to 1311 he was Dean of Salisbury .

He was buried in the Franciscan church in Avignon.
