Guillermo Ariel Pereyra (born February 20, 1980 in Río Cuarto , Argentina ) is a former Italian-Argentine football player .

Player career

Pereyra started his career with River Plate at the age of 18 , for which he played in almost 100 games from 1998 to 2003. He won four championships with the top Argentine club from Buenos Aires (1 × Apertura, 3 × Clausura).

In 2003 he moved to RCD Mallorca . With the Spaniards he was always used regularly in midfield and came to 122 league games in which he scored seven goals.

In March 2008, Pereyra's move to the Russian first division club Lokomotiv Moscow was announced. However, he only played there for a year and in February 2009 he moved to the top Swiss club BSC Young Boys on loan . In Bern he was rarely used and mostly sat on the bench. In the summer of 2009 he returned to Moscow, but was shortly after transferred to the Spanish second division Real Murcia . In Murcia he was initially a regular player, but fell out more often. In the second half of the 2009/10 season , he mostly came on as a substitute. At the end of the season, he had to relegate his team.

In the summer of 2010, Pereyra returned to Argentina, where he joined CA San Lorenzo de Almagro . He ended his career in 2011.
