Guillermo Flores Avendaño

Guillermo Flores Avendaño (* 1894 ; † 1982 ) was Guatemalan President from October 27, 1957 to March 2, 1958 .

Life

Elections were held on October 20, 1957, and the military staged a coup on October 24, 1957 because the election was not as intended.

The military were represented by a triumvirate . The following men belonged to it:

This triumvirate passed the presidency on October 27, 1957 to Colonel Guillermo Flores Avendaño, as this was 2nd deputy to Carlos Castillo Armas . She murdered her first deputy, Luis Arturo González López , on October 25, 1957.

Avendaño had another vote and now José Miguel Ramón Idígoras Fuentes has been elected.

Idígoras made Avendaño his minister of war for this.
