Guillermo Maidana , full name Guillermo Maidana Revetria , (born January 18, 1988 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.75-meter-tall offensive player Maidana was part of the squad of the first division club Danubio FC at the beginning of his career in the Apertura 2008 and the Clausura 2009 . In mid-July 2009, he was loaned to the league competitor Centro Atlético Fénix until the end of the year . There he played seven games in the Primera División and scored one goal. After a short return to Danubio, another loan transfer followed in January 2010. His employer was the Club Atlético Rentistas until the end of June 2011 . He then played again with Danubio until the end of April 2012. He then left the Montevideans and joined the Antigua GFC until the beginning of August of the same year . At Apertura 2013 he tied back to Rentistas. In the 2013/14 season he played in 26 first division games and scored six goals. In the Apertura 2014 he was used ten times (four goals) in the top Uruguayan league and twice (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2014 . In mid-January 2015 he moved to Deportivo Municipal in Peru on loan . There he was not used in the Primera División, but ran eight times in the Copa Inca and scored one goal. He then returned to Rentistas in early July 2015. In the 2015/16 season, he played 15 first division games (no goal) and was relegated to the second division with the club. In July 2016, he was loaned to the second division competitor Club Atlético Progreso . In the 2016 season he met there once in nine league appearances. He returned to Rentistas in early January 2017.
