Guillermo Torres (* 1952 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ; † February 1, 2014 ), also known by the nickname Pititos , was a Mexican football player who was used in both attacking midfield and attack . He is the only player who was under contract with the major clubs in his hometown ( Atlas and Chivas ) in two stages . In addition, he only played for these two clubs throughout his career.

Life

"Pititos" Torres was initially under contract from 1968 to 1971 with Club Atlas. When this was relegated to the second division at the end of the 1970/71 season, Torres moved to city ​​rivals Chivas. In 1977 he returned again for three seasons to Club Atlas - and played with them after relegation for one season (1978/79) in the second division - before moving again to Chivas in 1980 and his active career there during the season 1984/85 ended.

Torres has scored more than 50 goals throughout his career, including many from free kicks and penalty kicks .

In 2010 Torres was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He succumbed to this disease and died on February 1, 2014.
