The Guizhou University (Abbreviation Gui Da ; abbreviation :贵州大学; pinyin : Guizhou Daxue) is a public university , in Guiyang , capital of the Chinese province of Guizhou .

history

The predecessor institution, the so-called “ Guizhou Institute of Higher Learning ”, was founded in 1902. This institute was later divided into Guizhou Provincial University, the State College of Agriculture and Engineering, and Guizhou State University.

In 1997, Guizhou University was merged with the Agricultural College, Guizhou Art College and the Agricultural Training Center for cadres.

In 2004 that university was merged with another college again to form the current Guizhou University.
