The Gumpert Tornante is a concept vehicle from the Gumpert sports car manufacturer that was presented at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show . The concept vehicle was to serve as the basis for another model besides the Apollo . It was still unclear whether the production model would also have been called Tornante. In contrast to the Apollo, the Tornante should offer more space and comfort. The start of production was planned for 2012, but development was discontinued after the desired customer response did not occur. At the Geneva Motor Show, Marketing Director Harald Schlegel announced that the sports car manufacturer was planning to  produce the  Gumpert Tornante in 2015. However, the Gumpert sports car manufacturer was sold to an investor from Asia shortly afterwards, whereupon a realization has become unlikely.

The body of the Tornante was developed in Italy by Touring Superleggera . The length of the concept vehicle is 4480 mm. The weight of the production model would have been 1300 kg. The 4.2-liter engine with 700 hp from the Apollo was to serve as the drive and the Tornante to a speed of max. Bring 310 km / h. In addition, the vehicle should accelerate to 100 km / h within 3.0 seconds.
