Gunfire is an Italian heavy metal band from Ancona that was founded in 1981, disbanded in 1986 and re-formed in 2002.

history

The band was founded in 1981 by singer Roberto "Drake" Borrelli and guitarist Maurizio "Maury Lyon" Leone. In 1984 guitarist Fabio Allegretto came to the band, whereby the previous guitarist Leone switched to bass. Meanwhile, they recorded their first song, which should be called Thunder of War . After two months, the band recorded their first demo within two days. The edition consisted of 50 copies that were distributed to friends and various magazines. This was followed by some appearances in Italy.

The band reached a contract with Discotto Irae Records . The recordings for the next sound carrier lasted a week, with publication being limited to 2000 copies. In 1986 the band split.

The band returned in 2002, releasing the demo The Fire Still Burns , which included recordings from 1985. Guitarist Luca Calò and drummer Diego Romagnoli were new members of the band. In 2004, Marco Bianchella, a new drummer, joined the band.

In 2004, the debut album Thunder of War was released via Battle Cry Records .
