Gunilla Kristina Röör (born August 16, 1959 in Bromma , Sweden ) is a Swedish actress .

Life

Gunilla Röör is the daughter of pop singer Inger Berggren . After graduating from school, she began studying at the Socialhögskola , which broke off again for lack of success. Instead, she began working at a youth center where she came into contact with acting. After several unsuccessful attempts, she was able to start studying at Teaterhögskolan i Stockholm from 1983 , which she successfully completed in 1986. She then found work at Stockholm's Stadsteater and began to appear regularly in Swedish films from the early 1990s.

Since then she has been nominated four times for the Swedish national film award Guldbagge . She received three nominations for Best Actress , receiving awards for her portrayals in Freud Leaving Home and Sommaren . She received another nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Lillemor Fransson in Harald Hamrell's crime film Kommissar Beck - The Last Witness . In 2020 Röör was awarded the royal cultural order Litteris et Artibus .

Röör is married to the actor Per Sandberg and has a son with him.
