Gunnar Nixon
Gunnar Nixon (born January 13, 1993 in Weatherford , Oklahoma ) is an American decathlete .
Career
Nixon began his career as a high jumper. At the 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore, he reached sixth place. He switched to the decathlon and won the title at the Junior World Championships in July 2012 . With 8018 points, he improved the world's best performance for the year among the juniors of the Dutchman Pieter Braun by 65 points.
In 2013 he took part in the World Championships in Moscow.
