Gunungapi is north of the Barat Daya Islands

Gunungapi ( Indonesian Pulau Gunungapi , German  Vulkan , sometimes Gunungapi Wetar ) is a small Indonesian island in the Banda Sea .

Gunungapi is located about 100 km north of Wetar Island and 365 km south-southwest of Ambon . It consists of the stratovolcano of the same name , which rises 282  m above sea level. Measured from the sea floor, the volcano reaches 5000  m . The last eruptions took place in 1512 and 1699.

Gunungapi belongs to the Maluku Province and is uninhabited.
