Ronny Jakubaschk

Ronny Jakubaschk (* 1979 in Guben ) is a German theater director .

Ronny Jakubaschk grew up in Cottbus / Niederlausitz. Already during school and civil service he realized his first directorial work with his own theater group and was awarded the advancement award of the Cottbuser Max Grünebaum Foundation.

During his dramaturgy studies at the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig, he worked as an assistant at the Schauspiel Frankfurt , Staatstheater Cottbus and the Vienna Burgtheater . At the same time he staged in Leipzig, Cottbus and Bad Hersfeld. In addition, he was a scholarship holder of the Drama Masterclass at the Salzburg Festival in summer 2003.

When Armin Petras took over as artistic director in 2006, Ronny Jakubaschk went to the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin as an assistant director . In addition to managing the youth club, he set up numerous staged readings, realized workshop projects and his own productions.

Since 2009, Ronny Jakubaschk has directed at the Theater Aachen , Theater Basel , Theaterhaus Jena , Schauspiel Frankfurt , Neues Theater Halle , Oldenburgisches Staatstheater , Staatstheater Braunschweig , Staatstheater Mainz and at the Dortmund Opera . He worked as part of the Heidelberger Stückemarkt, at the Primeurs Festival at the Saarbrücken State Theater and, supported by the Goethe Institute, at the Stary Dom Theater in Novosibirsk.

His productions became the theater meeting of the youth, the day of the talents of the Federal Ministry of Education, the cold start festival, too radically young, the festival without limits, the children and youth festival "Wildwechsel", for a moment! - invited to the festival of theater for young audiences and to the Autorentheatertage of the Deutsches Theater Berlin.

He has been in-house director at the Neuen Theater Halle since the 2018/19 season.
