Gunzweiler (desert)

Gunzweiler was a village in the Lautertal on the Rutzenbach .

history

The town of Gunzweiler appears in several documents from the Otterberg monastery towards the end of the 13th century. A Jacob Stange testified the rights of the monastery to some properties. Its exact location is unclear. Gunzweiler desert near Olsbrücken (Kr. Kaiserslautern) Gu. was in the district of Olsbrücken (sd), on the Rutzenbach . However, according to the sources, it was probably located between Olsbrücken and Hirschhorn / Pfalz . After the 14th century, the place was apparently already destroyed and a desert .
