Guo Zhenqing

Guō Zhènqīng郭振清 (born August 1927 in Tiānjīn , † August 24, 2005 in Tiānjīn ) was a Chinese film actor.

Guō Zhènqīng is little known outside of the People's Republic of China; there, however, he is mainly remembered by the older generation for his role as Li Xiangyang, a communist guerrilla fighter he played in the 1950s film Ping Yuan You Ji Dui (Guerrilla Fighter in the Field). Guō Zhènqīng began at the age of 17 as a ticket seller for the tram in his hometown of Tianjin. Five years later, in 1949, communist troops captured Tianjin and Guō Zhènqīng was sent to a cadre school. After completing this, he worked for the union's drama troupe. His first role was in 1952 as a dock worker in Liu Hao Men (Gate 6), which was followed by numerous other film appearances over the next three decades.
