Guram Jassonowitsch Zchowrebow ( Russian Гурам Ясонович Цховребов ; born July 14, 1938 in Staliniri , South Ossetian Autonomous Region ; † 1998 ) was a Soviet football player of Ossetian origin.

life and career

Guram Tskhovrebow was born in 1938 in Staliniri , today's Tskhinvali, in South Ossetia . He was enthusiastic about football at an early age and attended a sports school in his hometown before his talent was recognized and he was sent to Dinamo Tbilisi , the most successful club from the Caucasus in the Soviet league at the time . 1957 Zchowrebow was part of the Dinamo squad, but did not make any appearances in the first team. He left the club and moved to the second division Torpedo Kutaisi in 1958 , where he was to stay until 1963. There the defender completed 57 league games and even made it to the top Soviet league in the 1962 season.

In 1964 Zchowrebow was finally obliged again by Dinamo Tbilisi, where he should now spend the most successful part of his career. He has been in the Tbilisi squad for almost six years and has played over 150 league games. In 1964 he was even able to become Soviet champions with his team. In 1967 he was appointed to the Soviet national team. In 1971 Zchowrebow switched to Metallurg Rustawi , where he let his career end. From 1973 to 1974 he trained Spartak Tskhinvali in his South Ossetian homeland. He died in 1998.
