Gurkha brand cigars are manufactured and sold by the Gurkha Cigar Company of Miami , United States .
history
According to legend, Gurkha soldiers were the inventors of the Gurkha cigars. The native Indian Kaizad Hansotia bought the brand and a full cigar load in 1989 while on vacation in Goa for only $ 149 and then founded the Gurkha Cigar Company in Miami.
Single brands
The Majesty's Reserve cigar, which is made from 18-year-old tobacco and Louis XIII cognac and is considered one of the most expensive cigars in the world, is particularly renowned . This extremely limited production product sells for € 1,200 per cigar. Gurkha cigars are therefore described as the Rolls Royce of cigars . The Maharaja of Gurkha, which costs € 2,200 each, is even more expensive. But also much cheaper cigars can be found in the more than 120 series from Gurkha: the normal price range is around 10–15 € / piece.
