Gusev Crater (Earth)
Gusev ( Russian Гусевский кратер , Gussewski crater ) is an impact crater in Russia . It is located near Kamensk-Shakhtinsky in Rostov Oblast .
The diameter of the crater is three kilometers and its age is estimated to be around 49 million years. It is not visible from the surface of the earth. It is possible that Gusev Crater was formed at the same time as the nearby Kamensk Crater .
The crater is named after the nearby hamlet (chutor) Gusew .
