Kamensk ( Russian Каменский кратер , Kamenski krater ) is an impact crater in Russia . It is located near Kamensk-Shakhtinsky in Rostov Oblast .
The diameter of the crater is 25 kilometers and its age is estimated to be around 49 million years. You can see the impact structure from the surface of the earth. The crater may have formed at the same time as the nearby and much smaller Gusev crater .
