Heliane Bei

Heliane Bei (born November 5, 1927 in Hamburg , † November 19, 1983 in Munich ) was a German stage and film actress .

Career

Her parents were the actress Leopoldine Bei and Leo Stoll-Bei , who was a well-known singer and actor in Vienna and the Netherlands in the 1920s and 1930s .

Heliane Bei had her first role in a feature film in We just got married in 1949 . In 1954 she had a supporting role in The Flying Classroom , for which Erich Kästner not only provided the book, but also the script and appeared in the film at the same time as himself. Pole Poppenspäler followed in the same year . At played the female lead in it. The film was one of the first joint productions between the German Democratic Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany . Until 1959, a few more and less successful films followed. Bei later turned to the theater. She had engagements at the Vienna Volkstheater and at the Tyrolean Landestheater Innsbruck .

In the 1960s she lived in Munich, where she got married. Until her death at the age of 56, she was looked after by her cousin, the well-known Viennese costume designer Leo Bei .
