Gustav Friedrich von Engelhardt (born May 30, 1732 in Jendel ; † November 29, 1798 ) was an Estonian state politician.

Life

family

Gustav Friedrich was a member of the Baltic noble family von Engelhardt . His parents were the Estonian district administrator Caspar Friedrich von Engelhardt and his wife Eleonore, nee. of roses . He married Charlotte von Richter ad H. Neuenhof (1737-1811) in 1759. Five of the nine children from this marriage reached adulthood, including the sons:

career

Engelhardt was initially a Russian major . He was a judge in Estonia, from 1780 to 1783 Estonian knighthood governor and from 1796 to 1798 Estonian district administrator. He was also an Imperial Real State Councilor and owner of the Estonian estates Jendel, Wieso, Koddasem and Essensberg as well as the Livonian estate Perst.
