Gustav Gauthier

Gustav Gauthier (* 1876 ; † 1963 ) was a German entrepreneur.

Gauthier founded the company Alfred Gauthier, precision mechanics workshop, Calmbach , together with his brother Alfred in 1902 . It was one of the leading manufacturers of camera shutters.

For his outstanding contribution to the development of the company and because of his social attitude, he was awarded the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany by Federal President Theodor Heuss on December 11, 1951 .
