Gustav Hobelmann

Gustav Hobelmann (* 1867 ; † December 1942 in Bremen ) was a German judge, politician (DVP) and senator in the Senate of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen .

biography

Hobelmann was President of the Bremen Regional Court from 1920 to 1925 .

From 1920 to 1928 he was a senator for the national liberal German People's Party (DVP) in the bourgeois Senate of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen under the non-party President of the Senate Martin Donandt . He resigned from the Senate in 1928, after which the SPD's electoral success reduced the number of DVP Senators in the Senate from five to three from 1928 to 1933.

He was also a member of the 1910s to 1930s and from 1912 to 1913 master of the chair (chairman) of the conservative Masonic lodge "Zur Hansa" from 1883 in Bremen.

He was buried in the Riensberg cemetery in Bremen.
