Gustav Conrad Schneider (born December 24, 1857 in Magdeburg , † December 24, 1931 in Tübingen ) was a German administrative lawyer, most recently the district president in Schleswig.

Schneider was a son of the Kommerzienrat Gustav Schneider from Magdeburg and his wife Fanny geb. Sickle. In 1887 he married Marianne Ziegler, a daughter of the Magdeburg commercial council and banker Ottokar Ziegler and Hedwig born. Car driver

Life

After attending the monastery school in Ilfeld , where he passed the school leaving examination in 1878, Schneider studied law at the University of Tübingen and became a member of the Corps Suevia Tübingen in 1879 . In 1879/80 he did his service as a one-year volunteer in Infantry Regiment No. 25 . In 1882 he passed the trainee exam and was employed as a court trainee in Magdeburg. After moving to general administration, he was a government trainee in Hanover, Calbe / Saale, Magdeburg and Königsberg i. Pr. 1887 he passed the assessor exam. He was a government assessor in Köslin, from 1890 to 1899 district administrator in the Bleckede district, and from 1899 government councilor at the high presidency in Hanover. In 1904 he was appointed Reich Commissioner for the Fight against Typhus in Saarbrücken. In 1908 he moved to the Ministry of the Interior as a lecturer. Most recently, he served as district president in Schleswig from 1915. Put up for discussion in 1919, he retired in 1923. From 1920 he lived in Tübingen.
