Gustavo Conforti

Gustavo Conforti (born August 5, 1879 in Florence , † December 25, 1975 there ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Conforti graduated from the drama school under Luigi Rasi in his hometown and began his stage career in 1906; for “lover” roles he was signed to A.Bolognesi / Pirovano and made numerous tours through Latin America with the ensemble. Back in Italy he was a member of various important theater companies, for example he worked with Quaranta / Marescalchi, Dina Galli / Amerigo Guasti , Armando Falconi / Olga Vittoria Gentilli and with Aldo Silvani . In 1920 Conforti moved to Luigi Carini / Olga Vittoria Gentilli and later performed with Vittorio De Sica / Giuditta Rissone .

In 1970 Conforti, who with the exception of a handful of film roles, a few radio engagements, some dubbing roles and a few television appearances, had always remained loyal to the stage, was part of the ensemble around Diego Fabbri in the theater "La Cometa" in Rome on his final retirement with a gold medal of honor for for his services to the theater.

Conforti was married to the soprano Egle Dainelli . His brother Giovanni was also an actor.
