Good Zumdahl
The Good Zumdahl is one of ditches surrounded, former manor in the field of city Geilenkirchen . It is in the Wurmtal, on the L 42, between the towns of Kogenbroich and Nirm .
history
The history of the house is largely in the dark. News about this is scarce. Gut Zumdahl is a property that probably dates back to the 15th to 16th centuries. The Dahll house depicted as the property of a Mr. Graass in the Codex Welser from 1723 could be identical to Zumdahl.
According to Edmund Renard (see lit. ) a Jacobus de Valle sive Dhall, provost of Heinsberg in 1498 , from Haus Zumdahl may come from. Before 1846 the property was owned by Theodor Anstrup, then by the Havers family and later by the Schoen family. Around 1900, the facility belonged to a woman from Colmar, Judge Schoen .
building
Gut Zumdahl has an almost rectangular floor plan and is surrounded by a moat. Its square corner tower, which is adjoined by a simple house from the 18th century, dates from the 15th to the 16th centuries.
