Good idea

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Good idea was one of the few new magazines founded in East Germany since reunification . The magazine was published every two months in 2004 as an independent alternative to the unique position of SUPERillu and was aimed at 25- to 45-year-old East Germans who, according to the founder and editor-in-chief Simon Kaatz, “no longer want to define themselves about the GDR , but want to look ahead.” The Good idea wanted to depict modern life in East Germany and was published in Fichtenwalde .

The magazine had a print run of 50,000 copies and a length of 68 pages. Only press sales outlets in the new federal states and Berlin were supplied , which brought criticism to the makers for promoting the social division in Germany . The main focus was on topics with an East German connection , largely ignoring Ostalgie .

With reference to the general economic situation and the prevailing, difficult market situation in the print media , the publisher of the publication, which was first issued on February 18, 2004, ceased its appearance the following year.
