The Gutmann AG (or Gutmann Group , proper spelling GUTMANN ) is a metal processing company, headquartered in White Castle in Bavaria and work locations in Gundelfingen and Neumünster . Aluminum products are manufactured for the construction, automotive, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering industries.

history

In 1937 Gutmann was founded as Leichtmetall-Drahtwerk H. Gutmann in Weißenburg by Hermann Gutmann and soon afterwards renamed HERMANN GUTMANN WERKE . After the death of the Weissenburg honorary citizen Gutmann in 1987, the company was transferred to the Hermann Gutmann Foundation, which he founded . In 2002 transition to GUTMANN AG. In 2004, the aluminum profile production of Josef Gartner GmbH in Gundelfingen and in 2007 Nordalu Wernal GmbH in Neumünster were bought by Gutmann AG.

Gutmann claims to have 1,300 employees, 600 of them in Weissenburg. According to Creditreform the number of employees is 660. The turnover amounted to approx. 123 million euros. In 2007 Gutmann processed 55,000 tons of aluminum . That corresponds to about ten percent of the total German consumption. The company now includes the subsidiaries Gutmann Bausysteme GmbH, Gartner Extrusion GmbH, Nordalu GmbH and Gutmann Alluminium Draht GmbH.
