Guttorm Hansen

Guttorm Hansen (born November 3, 1920 in Namsos ; † April 2, 2009 ibid) was a Norwegian politician and author of the Arbeiderpartiet (Ap).

Hansen initially worked as a mechanic from 1936 to 1945. He then worked as a journalist for various newspapers, most recently for the Namdal Arbeiderblad . Between 1955 and 1963 he sat in the local parliament of Namsos. In 1961 he was elected for Ap in das Storting , where he represented the former province of Nord-Trøndelag until 1985 . In the period from March 1971 to October 1972 he was Ap group leader. From October 9, 1973 to September 30, 1981, he held the office of President of Parliament and was also chairman of the election committee. Between October 1982 and September 1985 he was chairman of the control committee. He also worked as a non-fiction and novelist.
