Guy Deutscher (2010)

Guy Deutscher (* 1969 in Tel Aviv ) is an Israeli linguist .

Life

German studied a. a. Linguistics and mathematics at Cambridge University , where he completed his studies with a doctorate . He then spent some time researching ancient language structures at St. John's College .

Deutscher was a fellow at the University of Leiden and after a while returned to Great Britain. From 2010, Deutscher was a temporary Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Manchester . The composer Alma Deutscher is his daughter.
