Guy von Keller (* 1908 ; † 2005 ) was a Swiss diplomat .

Life

Von Keller entered the diplomatic service and between 1947 and 1950 worked as a legation secretary in the trade department of the Federal Department of Economics (now the Federal Department of Economics, Education and Research ). After his promotion to Secretary of the First Class on January 20, 1950, he worked at the Legation in the People's Republic of Poland between 1950 and 1955 and at the Legation in Cairo from 1955 to 1961, where he was promoted to Legation Councilor on November 2, 1956 . After his promotion to Legation Counselor First Class on February 21, 1961, he was Counselor at the Embassy in Paris.

On January 21, 1963, von Keller succeeded René Keller as ambassador to Ghana and held this office until November 29, 1966, after which Friedrich Schnyder became his successor there. At the same time, he had been accredited as the Swiss representative in Sierra Leone since April 29, 1966 . Most recently he replaced Julien Rossat as ambassador to Ireland on February 21, 1967 , and held this post until he retired on May 31, 1973. He was then succeeded by Richard Aman .
