Gwardamanġa
Gwardamanġa ( Italian Guardamangia ) is a village in the Maltese community Tal-Pietà . The place is located on a steep hill that rises as a protrusion between two valleys. It is a suburb of Valletta .
St. Luke's Hospital , the former central hospital of Malta, is located in Gwardamanġa . There is also the Villa Guardamangia , where Princess Elisabeth, who later became Queen Elisabeth II of Great Britain, lived temporarily between 1946 and 1953. Her husband Philip Mountbatten , Duke of Edinburgh, served there in the British Navy from 1949 to 1951 .
The listed Ta 'Braxia cemetery is also located in Gwardamanġa.
