history

First boarding school

In the 1970s, the school, which had initially only been located in Eringerfeld Castle since 1961 , was expanded by the Dr. Kirchner Group and managed as a school center with various types of school. The schools were closed in 1987 after economic difficulties.

There was a hotel in the castle from 1985 to 2014 . In 2015 part of the castle was used as refugee accommodation. The castle is to be converted into a high-quality hotel by 2022.

Second boarding school: The Talenta

In 2000, the Dr. Kirchner Group opened a boarding school for highly talented students under the name "Talenta", initially with grades 5 and 6. Each year a further grade was added, so that at the beginning of the 2004 school year grades 5 to 10 were supervised. In addition, a primary school was established in 2003. As a rule, the classes consisted of 6 to 8 students, individual grades were taught in three to four classes.

The school had to close on July 31, 2005 due to financial difficulties.

Third boarding school

Since 2006 the boarding school has been run by the Association of Private High School and Real School Eringerfeld eV. [3] Behind the sponsoring association are education-oriented people with a Turkish migration background who are close to the so-called Gülen movement and, according to the statutes, are politically neutral.

Eringerfeld high school

The school center was acquired in 2006 by the educational institution "Regenbogen Bildungswerkstatt eV" from Paderborn. The association founded the Eringerfeld grammar school in 2006, which started teaching in the 2006/2007 school year. No religious instruction is offered. The grammar school offers secondary levels 1 and 2. Since summer 2010, the Abitur has been offered after the twelfth grade ("G8"). The educational offer is based on the curricula of state schools. Most of the students have a Turkish migration background and live in the attached boarding school. In 2013, the Eringerfeld grammar school passed high school graduates for the first time. The high school graduation rate was 93% in 2017.

Eringerfeld secondary school

In addition to the grammar school in Eringerfeld, the school authority, Regenbogen Bildungswerkstatt e. V. has also had a two-tier secondary school since 2009 .

  7. School Program - Schools-Eringefeld. Retrieved on July 7, 2019 (German): “The Eringerfeld high school and the boarding school have an international interpretation from the start. It is intended to appeal to all student groups in Germany, especially students with a migration background. The “Eringerfeld” project is not just an educational offer for German children with a migration background. In recent years, positive reports in the local daily newspapers and the dialogue with the local communities have increased the demand from children without a migration background considerably. In order to remain competitive here too, new projects are constantly being started. For example, our students are intensively prepared for the Abitur examination. Extensive preparation courses with exam simulations take place during the holidays and on weekends. Other projects include leisure activities (e.g. founding of the Eringerfeld sports club and leisure activities at the boarding school). "
