The Lindlar grammar school is a grammar school in the municipality of Lindlar . There are currently over 700 students taught by around 55 teachers.
history
The Lindlar grammar school was established in 1998 after efforts by Lindlar citizens and politicians. Initially, the classes were housed in the Lindlar school center, later in the former Catholic elementary school in Lindlar. In 2005 a new triple gymnasium was completed. In 2007, a new building was completed for the Lindlar special school, which up until this point was still housed at the grammar school.
In June 2007, the first high school graduates from Lindlar graduated by passing their matriculation examination.

Subjects taught
In the upper level, the choice of subjects is broad. German, English, French, mathematics, physics, biology, history and social sciences are offered as advanced courses. In addition, German, English, mathematics, French, Italian, biology, chemistry, physics, history, social sciences, art, music, literature, geography, religion and philosophy are taught.
Computer science
The Lindlar grammar school has three IT rooms. Four more computers are available for research in the library. Students and teachers can log into the network with their own user accounts from each computer.
Working groups
The Lindlar Gymnasium has a large number of working groups (AGs) that take place in the afternoon. In addition to various sports offers, projects such as dispute settlement and coach escort are also offered. Students are also offered to take the Cambridge First Certificate or DELF. In the summer of 2006 the school newspaper “Durchblick” won the “German School Newspaper Prize 2006” when it participated for the first time.
