Hematocele

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A hematocele or hematocele (synonyms: haematocele , blood break ) is understood to be an accumulation of blood in a natural body cavity (for example as a bruise in the peritoneal space ) or tissue crevice .

The hematocele typically refers to an accumulation of blood in the scrotum , but in principle it can also represent other hematomas similar to hematomas . A hematocele in the scrotum can occur, for example, when the vessels accompanying the testicles tear (e.g. through blunt force).
