Håkon Aasnes

Håkon Aasnes (born February 13, 1943 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian illustrator, comic artist and comic author.

Life

Aasnes trained as a commercial artist from 1972 to 1973 at the Westerdals Reklameskole in Oslo. Since 1972 he has worked continuously as a cartoonist and author. He created texts and drawings for around twenty different comic series, including the Norwegian comics such as Seidel and Tobram , Stomperud ( No. 91 Stomperud ), Smørbukk , Tuss and Troll , Kråka Konrad , Hanna , Gråtass , Annika and the Norwegian Olsen Gang together with Sverre Årnes .

Aasnes also drew for some international comic series , such as Phantom and Donald Duck in the comic magazine Donald Duck & Co (Norway) . He drew the Disney characters licensed for Norway from 1976 to 1979 and with an interruption until 1993. Aasnes was also the first Norwegian who drew for Disney and his own drawings, stories and scenarios based on his own ideas were officially published by Disney learned.

Håkon Aasnes currently lives and works in Aurskog in the province ( Fylke ) Akershus .

In 1981 he was awarded the region's culture prize for children's and youth literature ( Kulturdepartementets priser for barne- og ungdomslitteratur ).
